I had a big Hopsin streak a while back...in retrospect I kind of realize that my massive boner for him was mostly due to my massive dissatisfaction with other new rap

Now don't get me wrong, he has talent....he can actually rap and produce, but really his shtick wears thin after a while, he's exceedingly corny, and he's also semi unoriginal...when you listen to a lot of his songs it's very easy to see where it's like "well, he got this flow or rhyme pattern straight from Eminem and it's blatant"

He's not bad and he has his lane, I like some of his stuff to this day and have an amount of respect for him, but once I got off his dick because of the wow factor of "ZOMG A NEW RAPPER WHO ACTUALLY ISN'T 100 PERCENT SHIT" it was easy for me to see that he's far from perfect and a lot of his critics have a point, he's like a diet Eminem, lacking the edge and fines, and he really comes off as kind of a nerd a lot of times but not in a good way, more a cringey way
