If you could only have ONE guitar for the rest of your life and it HAD to be an Ibanez, Fender, Gibson, or PRS, which brand and model would you choose? Why?
Flathead Tele
Ibanez doesn't even belong in this discussion lol.
Literally any Fender strat
I've played like 8 different ones and they've all been $800 out of my price range

Interesting choice. Why not an Ibanez with EMGs?

I dunno, I've played some really nice Ibanez guitars. Vai and Satriani seem to like them.
Ibanez, I like the comfy necks

I played a great custom strat once that had the superglue finish Lace Sensors and a classical neck.

The brutal simplicity of it is really attractive to me.

You could have any shop make a simple guitar. What is it about Fender and the tele that you like?
Personally the pattern regular neck profile is the most comfortable I've played. The only thing I don't like about PRS is the flame top finishes.

History. Hard to go simpler than the original. I think the inlay on that specific model is really badass too.

Really? I mean they have lots of guitars with no flame quilted maple. But that's totally my favorite part.
literally nothing else better or more versatile

Gibson ES355 I guess. That'll do mostly any genre.

I mean, in a more natural finish it's not offensive to me, but I've always gravitated to subtle guitars personally. Am fond of the bird inlays though.

eh... Tele with stock pickups often sound thin to me. I've heard coil tapped humbuckers that sound like single coils but rarely a tele that might be a Les Paul.

An excellent choice sir.
