/mu/ used to keep track of all the new releases, you can click on any thread and atleast get two or three good new bands out of it minimum, it's humour used to be actually funny and was not kids being overly hostile to each other in utterly uncalled for ways, yes the genre wars went on back then too but never to this extent. The mere mention of a genre is enough to derail the whole thread and get atleast 20 different dedicated "epic" master race kids to spend hours on baiting and just being utterly stupid in it.

These kind of threads are a norm now it's not about finding new music or being open minded in what you listen to, it's just about degrading each other and the retarded macho complex these kids have. You can't tell me that you have actually found good music as of late I came back in the middle of last year and my library has not grown even half as much it would have just lurking it one month at say 2012. Most of what I do now is just lurk till I see something worthwhile but those usually get ignored and get no bumps and the rest of it's just avoiding the thousands of bait threads.

yeah, /mu/ could be a lot better. i filter so many threads in order to actually find stuff worthwhile. the waifufagging is the worst part in my opinion, i understand liking an artist but basically refusing to talk about any other artists is sad and boring.
