If I had to show aliens any album, it'd be Geogaddi.

That's what the premise of this thread should be

Why would you show aliens an album based on nostalgia for a specific period of time in the 20th century? Why not show them the common ground idea for what a song usually sounds like? Something like Pet Sounds or The Beatles. Yes, it's pleb as shit, but they'd LITERALLY have never heard music from our planet before. It'd be perfectly fine showing someone from a different planet music that shows the bare basics of what a song typically is. Even showing them some classical to start would be fine.

what was geogaddi nostalgic for? 70's?
>>
Lol everytime I hear this album I think of Salad Fingers

Geogaddi feels timeless honestly as well as all BoC, it never felt restricted to the 70s aesthetic at all the melodies are ancient and primordial

yes, it's nostalgia for 70s television. An alien wouldn't understand that

Boc isn't rigidly conceptual, it's instrumental music and for the most part is universal
