What does /mu/ think of Ska?
The correct term is "power reggae"
I like original 60s ska and the second wave of British "Two Tone" (Late 70s-early 80s British ska. Pic posted is a fine example) Early "Ska-Punk" like Mighty Mighty Bosstones is alright but as the 90s progress it becomes redundant shit.

Used to really love it in high school (even wore a bunch of checkered shit at one point...was stoked to see RBF / LTJ / and Streetlight) but I've sort of drifted away from it now. It's really been like seven years since I really listened to it heavy. I don't relate to it the way I once did and I don't dig into it and keep up with it the way I did...I sort of wore it out you know and listened to it so much I made it stale for myself. Plus, I might be out of the loop, but I don't see a lot of good ska coming out any more. Which isn't too important since you can just look at the old stuff and listen to it all day, but it feels like a dead scene now days. Again, I could be completely wrong since I've been out the loop, but this is just my take on it from an ex-rudeboi.

I've been a long time fan. I can tell you the cons outweigh the pros
ska is 90% fucking cancer. 8% is pretty good danceable music. 2% is gods gift to the earth
also the community is cancer. all of it
it's a tool of babylon

Post the 2%?
Streetlight Manifesto kicks ass
The English Beat are amazing but outside of them, ska gets spotty
