Check out John Zorn and his other projects, like Naked City.
where's Herbie-Poster when you need him
this is my favorite genre
much sleepier but great
a little sleepier but great

fantastic pics ƒam

not trying the be mean
>dynamic avant-garde jazz
>bitches brew
anyway, go with
https://youtu.be/5aw2rM0w-pc
https://youtu.be/IYzZzy9fCJQ (can't go wrong with miles at all - Live Evil, Pangea are all nice too.

and something off topic too

Look into the people that worked in the above mentioned albums.

it's pretty dynamic and might seem avant-garde if you are a jazz newbie.
>>71468568
and for really fast shit
Brotzmann - Machine Gun, Nipples, Never Too Late But Always Too Early
also>>71468240
Sonny Sharrock - Black Woman
>>71468597
for me bitches brew is a chill record, but I can't say it's not dynamic, still there aren't much brusting juxtapositions and very fast tempos aren't the trademark of the album
>>71468430
pt 2
also astral travelling by Alice Coltrane and Pharoah. there wasn't artwork for it.
>>71468685
I would add Dolphy's Iron Man too
and for fun - We Free Kings!!! By Rashaan Kirk

>>71468669
i think OP meant dynamic as in progressive, but I could be wrong. Ornette Coleman would be more of the wheelhouse of dynamic "songwriting", which i recommended Dreaming in your Head.
>>71468742
also
FREEJAZZ!!!
It's essential for a reason.
>>71468730
Never listened to that Rashaan Kirk track. Pretty pretty pretty good.
>>71468803
yeah but his later stuff is so awesome and underrated. might fit better with OPs request. Body Meta and Science Fiction are fucking incredible.
>>71468568
I'm not really a jazz expert so I assumed that Bitches Brew is Avant-garde since it's labeled as avant-garde jazz on rym and I personally find the album pretty dynamic
anyway thank for the recs
>>71469132
It's all good my man. Most of us just call it Psychedelic or Cosmic Jazz. There's too many subgenre names.
Just go throw on some Sun Ra and have quite a good bake.
>>71468742
what I meant by dynamic is some loud jazz that you could "headbang to"
it can be progressive or fast right from the start
>>71469176
then you want... SNARKY PUPPY

Although not quite like anything being posted in this thread, Green Sky Blue Tree by AMP is one of the most unique and interesting contemporary jazz albums I've ever heard.
>>71469263
