>Claims Led Zeppelin are dirty plagiarist
>Listen to Hip Hop
>>71463273
90% of hipsters desu
??? What exactly is the implication here? Is this another "hurr sampling is STEALING" thing said by people who have no idea how the sampling process in hip-hop works?
>>71463273
The difference is most Hip-Hop credit the people they've taken things from whereas Zeppelin didn't
>>71463401
>>71463439
>What's Ready To Die???
people like op make me embarrassed that led zeppelin are my favorite band
>>71463517
You should be embarrassed that Led Zeppelin is your favorite band
>>71463674
>Lmao gotcha xD
>>71463401
what do i not know about the concept of taking something someone made and shoving it into my song? im not saying its bad, i just dont know what else there is to get about it
>>71464055
>taking something someone made and shoving it into my song?
that's not what sampling is
I mean I guess in really shitty songs maybe, but actual good sampling has a lot more to it
>>71463906
He's right.
led zep are so bad, how can anyone listen to it
horrible shrieking voice over terrible faux-blues music
good drumming though
>>71463674
You should be embarrassed you like hip hop
>>71465583
yea...except the delicate acoustic stuff and finely crafted original songs...
>2017
>Still thinks sampling is theft
Nice meme desu
>>71463273
Even worse:
>claims hip hop sampling is stealing and wrong
>defends led zeppelin's actual plagiarism
>>71466662
>finely crafted original
are you jerking off or something what's with this strange word choice
>>71463401
When a sample of an older song makes your shitty hip hop song iconic then you fucked up.
When Sleigh Bells used a "sample" of Funkadellic in Rill Rill (ring ring), that one sample carried the whole song and without it the song could not be made. They stole it
>>71466779
tru Patricians know their best material are their original songs...
Achilles Last Stand
Ten Years Gone
No Quarter
Over the Hills and Far Away
The Rain Song
etc...
bitching about a few old blues tunes is for autistic mental midgets.
>>71466740
but thats actually objective fact that rap sampling is more stealing than what led zeppelin did
>>71463273
anyone got those zep plagerism cards?
A list of some of the songs Zep stole from other artists:
"Babe I'm Gonna Leave You" - A folk song by Anne Bredon, this was originally credited as "traditional, arranged by Jimmy Page," then "words and music by Jimmy Page," and then, following legal action, "Bredon/Page/Plant."
"Black Mountain Side" - uncredited version of a traditional folk tune previously recorded by Bert Jansch.
"Bring It On Home" - the first section is an uncredited cover of the Willie Dixon tune (as performed by the imposter Sonny Boy Williamson).
"Communication Breakdown" - apparently derived from Eddie Cochran's "Nervous Breakdown."
"Custard Pie" - uncredited cover of Bukka White's "Shake 'Em On Down," with lyrics from Sleepy John Estes's "Drop Down Daddy."
"Dazed And Confused" - uncredited cover of the Jake Holmes song (see The Above Ground Sound Of Jake Holmes).
"Hats Off To (Roy) Harper" - uncredited version of Bukka White's "Shake 'Em On Down."
"How Many More Times" - Part one is an uncredited cover of the Howlin' Wolf song (available on numerous compilations). Part two is an uncredited cover of Albert King's "The Hunter."
"In My Time Of Dying" - uncredited cover of the traditional song (as heard on Bob Dylan's debut).
"The Lemon Song" - uncredited cover of Howlin' Wolf's "Killing Floor" - Wolf's publisher sued Zeppelin in the early 70s and settled out of court.
"Moby Dick" - written and first recorded by Sleepy John Estes under the title "The Girl I Love," and later covered by Bobby Parker.
"Nobody's Fault But Mine" - uncredited cover of the Blind Willie Johnson blues.
"Since I've Been Lovin' You" - lyrics are the same as Moby Grape's "Never," though the music isn't similar.
"Stairway To Heaven" - the main guitar line is apparently from "Taurus" by Spirit.
"White Summer" - uncredited cover of Davey Graham's "She Moved Through The Fair."
"Whole Lotta Love" - lyrics are from the Willie Dixon blues "You Need Love."
