I love albums 1-4, don't care what anyone thinks

If I love album pictured, will I love the rest?

Again, their first 4 albums are great... after In Reverie they hit a pretty stale and a lil' too tryhard mode... but their most recent record was okay, bit of throwback.

nothing tops their kind of energy, it's so bittersweet and a strange bubbly kind of manic depression
anyone else know what the hell i mean?
listening to this right now
the nostalgia is off the fucking charts

I actually really liked self-titled, was a return to form in my opinion
God damn being a depressed 20 y/o his trilogy albums hit home hard

yeah i'll give it another listen
I also kinda like Ups and Downs and the Bug Sessions too
Stay What You Are > In Reverie > Through Being Cool > Can't Slow Down

think I agree, honestly.
sometimes I can just get lost in whatever song though and not care what album it is on.
the problem with the STA/UTB/DB trilogy was that it sort of heaved and buckled under the weight of the conceptual aspect it was trying to go for, that and it just sounded sappy and winy in parts

I just personally couldn't stand Chris's voice change. It's a shame that he hasn't gotten anywhere close to being able to sound like he did on Stay What You Are. I know that the voice change already happened on In Reverie but it's not as whiny as on later albums.
