I've never been a U2 fan, but even I enjoy War and the Unforgettable Fire (and Joshua Tree on a good day). They're just a really popular band to hate like Nickelback or Creed. That being said, everything they done after Achtung Baby fucking sucked.

Disagree. I liked Zoorpa and Passengers Original Soundtracks Vol 1. They didn't really start to slide until Pop.

I honestly haven't listened to Zooropa or Original Soundtracks, but the last two albums were definitely not good. I liked that one guitar riff on "Get On Your Boots" but they had to fuck it up by adding electronic shit that seemed out of place.

Speaking as a die-hard U2 I have no qualms admitting that they seem to have gone soft ever since Pop. However imo these two albums still stand as some of the most remarkable, forward-thinking music produced up to this day.
