White album is better

It's a great record but it was doomed to scorn from contrarians because the critical hype was so strong.

I don't actually. It has a few strong tracks, but most of the songs just aren't very interesting. Also, the fact that they gave up on the concept aspect of the album, but still kept the imagery makes me mad

Yeah but I always found it puzzling that so many media outlets have called it the best album ever, when I think most seasoned Beatle fans wouldn't even consider it THEIR best album.

Let's just get album rankings out of the way, and consider just because something is very low doesn't mean you can't love it.

Yes! It's very good, but any record that frequently gets called the best record ever will always fail to live up to the incredible hype machine it's produced. Except Loveless

10/10 album but not their best

It's good, but I don't get the hype.

The leap from Rubber Soul to Revolver sounds, imo, much more impressive than from Revolver to Sgt. Pepper.
