First release was mostly Bowie (except Search & Destroy which Iggy demanded his version and maybe another or two by someone else I think) and the original Iggy mix exists only as bootlegs as far as I know. The 97/98 release happened to be remastered by Iggy. Maybe I didn't your answer to the question.

Bowie all the way. Bowie revived Iggy's career twice from the dregs, then Iggy started bad mouthing him in the early 90's. not cool. I still dig Iggy and have met him several times - he's active in the Miami art and music scene - but without Bowie, Iggy would only be remembered as that guy in a fifty year old punk band.

Iggy's, 100%. Listen to Search and Destroy on both, you'll notice that on Bowie's everything sounds super quiet and washed out. A tiny bit cleaner, yes, but not worth it at all for all the power it takes out. Also Bowie is a talentless hack who makes boring pop music for teenage girls
