My dad just played dadrock, blues and early jazz. I had no friends, so that's all I ever listened to.

I listened to a lot of early 2000s Pop Rap. Then, in 2008, when I was 9, I discovered Nirvana and my music taste completely changed. I went from listening to Lil Wayne to Sonic Youth within a year.

I still unironically like some Ja Rule and Nelly songs though. :^)

Lots of rap and r&b on the radio. The songs havent aged well, but there was definitely some gems that I have nostalgia for like the T-Pain hits, The Dream, Chris Brown, Boosie, T-I, Timberlake.

I don't really listen to rap that much any more was hoping that the booming bass trap and mumble raps would be a fad but I was definitely wrong.
