>>71397762 Is Let's Dance rated very highly? Sure it was popular, the title track was a massive hit, but I don't think many people actually consider it a great work. Also, Hunky Dory is great, dummy. It's his best album before Ziggy and "Life on Mars?" is his early career magnum opus.
But yes, Lodger is his most underrated album. Everyone knows that.

Hunky Dory is absolutely overrated, yes.

I think Let's Dance get's way more credit than it deserves, I think it's straight up awful. The reason why I don't like Hunky Dory is that it's way to poppy and bombastic. Changes is overrated, Life on Mars is overrated, Kooks is terrible, etc... It's way to corny and light to me, I think it's not that good. The Man Who Sold The World is better in my opinion.

I'd probably say "Heroes" is his most overrated. I don't hate it, I love that album. But it feels like Bowie was repeating himself after Low a bit. Granted, Heathen and Lodger are masterworks that are totally ignored by casual Bowie fans.
>Neil Young
Overrated: Rust Never Sleeps, Harvest (I still love you Harvest. And I prefer Live Rust)
Underrated: Zuma, Le Noise (If you like My Bloody Valentine try Le Noise it's kinda bonkers)

>i don't agree with him so i'm going to call him a 14 year old
Congratulations, you sure got me. What a mature way to look at things

Really? I think Heroes has more going on than Low, and by that I think it's more musically direct and outward in terms of vocals, lyrics, and instrumentation. Granted they both very similar structures, but I think they're different sonically where you can distinguish the two.
>People still think MWSTW is anything but trash
Worst fucking genre and even Bowie couldn't make it sound good
>b-b-but muh man who sold the world
whoa one good track on an album of 9 tracks
All of which drag on way too fucking long for no reason
The Supermen is one of Bowie's worst tracks by the way
>>71397762
I don't know if I'd call it underrated, but I fucking NEVER see anyone talking about the Next Day. Used to think it would be my absolute favorite for a while, then Blackstar hit.

I agree with you. The Man Who Sold The World is often overlooked, though I'm not sure why when it has The Width of a Circle and The Man Who Sold The World. And I have a problem with Ziggy Stardust. To have such a great concept and to transform in into lighthearted singalong tunes? Come on. As you can gather, I'm not a fan of his pop albums.

Yeah, Bowie could seemingly do everything besides pop
