Local bands that are past their prime, or have simply faded like a whisper into the wind.
This music video isn't from their peak. But it's one of their most popular songs. I miss seeing them fucking kill at a show even if they weren't even headlining. Goddamn those were great shows.

does no one want to talk about any bands they think are dope from their area?

Or maybe this is more up your guys' alley? That avant garde shit.

man this shit was great
I had been following these guys since 2006 and this album was fucking heaven.
The energy they brought to live shows finally fell perfectly in with their studio recording.

Their next album wasn't as good as far as I'm concerned but the few songs they released after that were looking good.
Hope they reunite and record again.

And if that song doesn't tickle your fancy try this one.

Glad you liked it. Some of their music might be free on bandcamp/rubber brother records. The singer kind of reminds me of the dude from Cage the Elephant.

Oh man, isn't it great to see a band bring it all together for a period of great music making and live performing?
That track is nice. I like the twinkly piano. Great dad (classic) rock. 2:30, though. Holy fuck I wasn't expecting that.
You might like Kinch (Piano rock), MAN-CAT (noisey/weird rock), or Snake! Snake! Snakes! (psych/garage rock) They're all nothing like that, though.
Also, R.I.P to Boss Frog
They were really fun live, but I stopped seeing them after Jack (the frontman) replaced the entire band without an explanation.

jfc, this is amazing.
Here's one of my first favorite local bands. Saw them at my first concert, they went on first, FUCKING SLAYED OH MY FUCKING GOD! Then Local H fucking got my blood pumping and blew me away. Then Electric Six put on an amazing show for I think the album was Flashy.

Way Out reminds me of another local band The Echo Bombs. They're still around, but I haven't seen them in a while. They were pretty decent last time I saw them though.
