Is he /ourguy/?
>>71386666
>Whiny, talentless, poseur
No.
Nice satan dubs though
>>71386689
maybe whiny and talentless, but Ian wasn't a poseur, he genuinely meant evertything he wrote
Edgy for sure, but not talentless. I agree some tracks of Closer were a bit meh, but Unknown Pleasure's, as a all, is dope.
>>71386689
those are quads
>>71386817
Closer's literally a masterpiece, whereas Unknown Pleasure is not.
>>71386838
/ourguy/ confirmed
>>71386875
nice contrarian there faggot
https://youtu.be/q0DhQyYWkko
>>71386995
I think both Unknown Pleasures and Closer are masterpieces
>>71387732
I thought the only albums Alan likes were ABBA's greatest hits and The Best of the Beatles
>>71386666
Ian reincarnated as John and reviews food now.
>>71386995
Most people prefer Closer to UP though
>>71387857
is that bloke still making vids?
>>71386666
>far right, cynical, and suicidal
He's 4chan: the musician
>>71387864
Most people only say that not out of preference but out of posture.

These are kinda strange, he doesnt look like the kind of guy to front joy division in those photos. Wonder what he was thinking
>>71388124
>I'm gonna die and this bitch is gonna find me
Some shit like that.
>>71386689
>Satan dubs
Just how fucking new are you?
Imma call u newt
>>71386838
>>71388178
who gives a fuck? you know what im talking about.
>i know the difference between quads, trips, and dubs XD
>>71388124
They were friends from school and as naive young adults they decided to marry. He probably did love her, but they drifted apart. That was exacerbated when Joy Division started taking off.
>>71386716
Yes but his followers are.
>>71388209
Satan's number is not 66 though.
Dubs requires a pair of something. Your avatar photo indicates you are a tourist here, documenting the surrounding via the medium of still film with camera. This is why I inquired if you were new here
>>71388029
>>71388055
these two pics in particular disturb me. I mean look at them, he was just a boy. Not a man, but a boy.
>>71388468
It's crazy when people get married that young. Like, you don't even know yourself yet, so how could you possibly be ready to know someone else.
I got married when I was 20 and split up after a year and a half. It's insane
>>71388452
Natalie turned out pretty well, all things considering.
>>71388524
What freaks me out even more is that Ian was 23 when he died. He accomplished so much in so few years.
>>71388564
What if he didn't actually kill himself, but became her instead?

Patrician as fuck
>>71388762
youre a fag for pointing out such trivial bullshit that literally nobody cares about. tough guy
>>71389124
Says the guy who doesn't even understand that I was quoting him, not calling him a fag
>>71389134
>i know about quads AND the quoting aspect of greentext
8 years and youre honestly up there as one of the biggest faggots ive seen here
Friendly reminder that Deborah left that night and then acted all innocent and got a small fortune from all the shit Martin Hannet and Peter Hook made from live recordings.
She's still trying to wring every penny out of him even after he's dead.
>>71389224
I think she genuinely didn't like him towards the end of their marriage. They were going to divorce after all. Probably that just worsened Ian's state of mind.
>>71389180
>A guy tries to help me so I stop embarrassing myself. I'll call him a fag repeatedly. That'll sure get him
I would kill myself if I was from Macclesfield too.
On a side note, I think Hook is going to die this year.
>>71389384
looks comfy from the google images though

>>71389983
Damn, absolute mongoloids
>>71390003
Well, they are English. The girl is his sister, by the way.
>>71386666
Nice quads, btw
>>71389384
Saw Hook live recently, I'd say he looks like he's in fairly good health
I don't give a shit what this shitty ass board says. Hes is a fucking pioneer with great music. Don't overcomplicate things.
>>71388074
lets see your face faggot
>>71388598
He sounds like he is between 30 or 40. Great voice.
>>71386838
and these are dubs
Obligatory

I've never like Ian's vocals; personally I think Bernard does a much better job. His vocals are still pretty bad at the start but by Brotherhood I think he got it down. His voice only seems to improve over time. Hook's vocals on Movement are also great
I met Ian when I was younger, my parents knew him from Stretford.
He was a really strange guy, but most people who were close to him in early years liked him a lot. Wish he made more music too
>>71394898
This is pretty cool if it's true.
>>71387993
>I've made a terrible mistake
>>71387760
Same
I can only enjoy joy division of I have it on in the background and don't really listen to the vocals.
ian's vocals are so bad like, for a guy who was supposed to be super depressed and shit none of his emotions seem to come through in his singing.
also his singing is just bad.

>>71388029
>>71388009

I'm fully convinced getting married so young was the biggest mistake he made and he knew it

His monotone voice is one of the reasons he is famous, you do know that right?
>>71386666
>Voted for Thatcher
Yes he absolutely was
It's like Kanye supporting Trump today. Absolute madman and the antithesis of what all his other whiny nu-male peers were making music about.
>>71386689

What do you mean No? That sounds like /mu/ in a nutshell
