Dunno about that. While it's undoubtedly a great influence on the genre, it sounds nothing like what we know as folk punk. I'd say it's more of an acoustic alt-rock album anyways

It's really the only Violent Femmes album one ever needs.

needed less whining. I wish these boys would have used their proceipts for this album and spent a year getting blitzed and fucking whores and released a badass follow up album. as it stands it's the beta soundtrack. but that's okay because I'm beta.
