Really quite brilliant. It's less melancholy than loveless imo and still texturally delicious, but I feel like the guitar sounds are a bit more rugged and less smooth and blending like they were in loveless. Also I wish all the tracks were 'proper songs', not 'is this and yes' and 'nothing is', fine-sounding as they are. On the whole it can feel a bit meandery too... not as good as loveless but enjoyed greatly nonetheless.

Not as consistent as their previous two but definitely not bad.
A lot of focus on subtleties which make relistens interesting, but the slower tempo overall compared to Loveless makes it a bit of a drag. It took me several listens to notice Bilinda's glitchy vocals at the beginning of Only Tomorrow and this weird glitchiness that pops up like once in Is This and Yes.
My favorites are the first two and the last three. She Found Now is just perfect and the last three are quite a tour de force.
I'm happy it doesn't sound quite like Loveless 2.0

Ok, ok, you may be on to something. Tried another Everything Everything song but just putting white noise under it, this one was almost cheating since the song is already so mellow but the result is pretty damn close. Could this be shoegaze's cheat code like ambient's slowing down of songs?
