Sounding the way the creator intended doesn't mean it's better. Everything had to be mono for Brian Wilson because he couldn't hear in one ear. Even if he wanted to do it in stereo, he couldn't.

That is true. I'm not trying to say mono is objectively better, but I think it does have some good traits and shouldn't just be ditched for stereo remasters.
