More like this but with good production?

bands like this from that era could seldom afford good recording... nothing comes to mind. and bad brains sounds extremely unique anyway, they were reggae musicians
just dive into hardcore and you'll find something that scratches your itch. the first full black flag album damaged sounds better than this but not by much. but really that's not the point of this music in the first place.

your best bet would be Minor Threat, Negative Approach, and Suicidal Tendencies' first album
