I just listened to this. It all went downhill after the self titled.
jupiter > starfucker > reptilians > being no one > miracle mile > vault
I wouldn't say it's one of their stronger albums, but I'd hardly say it's a bad album. I enjoyed it a fair bit, I'd just say that they have a strong discog which makes it tough to live up to their prior successes.
>shitty buzzband indie electronica from that period of the 2010s where MGMT/Foster The People were huge
>ever good
no
I just really dislike how clean it their later work has been sounding, I wish the guitars would have more fuzz and screeching.

>comes into thread just to say it's shit
why are you even here
inb4 "I'm here to say it's shit"

I find a certain appeal in their new clean sound, but I guess I can appreciate that sentiment since it's part of what I don't really like the direction Justice has gone for the same reason.

same on all accounts
Well this has been a pretty civil discussion, anyone other than >>71350548 going to start shitposting or what?
I actually find it quite enjoyable.

Is that just a general aesthetic you prefer or do you really feel like it detracts from the bands overall sound? I never found that aspect of them to be all that important to the end product.
shit album for fags and gays

I just prefer it to their current stylistic choices to the point of distaste. The only other way I can word it is "I DON'T LIKE IT REEEEE"
>>71350996
finally someone bring us closer to the shitpost quota
>>71351139
wow what a mess of a sentence I just made. I should have just answered your question, yes I think it detracts from their sound, or at least the amount that I enjoy their music.
I liked it. Such a fun band too. Recommend anyone to go see them live.
