How does /mu/ feel about Weezer?

Blue and Pinkerton are 2 of my favourite albums ever. All their stuff after is garbage but white was a good return to form that I enjoyed.

I only like Blue and Pinkerton. I don't buy the return to form meme. I think White is trash, just not as trash as some of their other releases like Make Believe.

Blue Pinkerton and maladroit

I used to overrate them when I was a kid. The Blue album is alright but honestly not my favorite; I like half of the songs on it.
Pinkerton for me as of now remains a solid 7/10, especially with the extra tracks like Devotion and Waiting for you. If it had remained a concept album as it was intended, it would've been even more of a rock classic.
Then they sold out to a crowd they weren't made for. It was terrible. Then two "we're sorry, guys" albums happened, and they were decent. But I wouldn't say they've ever been a good band.

I like all of their albums except Raditude. Red is lousy too, but has a couple okay songs.

Blue = Pinkerton > Green > White > Maladroit > Songs from the Black Hole > Death to False Metal > EWBAITE > Hurley > Make Believe >>> Red >>>> Raditude

The Rentals are a better band.
