What bands in your opinion have a perfect or near perfect discography?
Nothing below an 8 imo
Neutral Meme Hotel
The Smiths
>>71332113
Hipster ambient rock garbage
>>71332116
Pretty easy to have an excellent discography with only 3 albums but I agree
>>71332145
Eh, that's your opinion.
>>71332146
Your opinion is wrong
>>71332375
ok faggot what's your choice
>>71332375
Wew
>>71332146
Did you forget The Weirdness and Ready to Die exist
>>71332146
I mean, no, but you're probably just trolling
>>71332375
watch out boios we got a contrarian in our ranks
>>71332375
>GY!BE = haha they suck
>The Stooges = haha they suck
>The Smiths = haha your opinion my dude
Make up your mind anon.
>>71332080
As much as I like Radiohead, they can't hold that title. It's actually incredibly rare to find strong discographies.
>>71332116
They don't even have anything over an 8/great.
>>71332145
First and last albums are pretty flawed.
>>71332080
the bands i like the most
Fugazi
>>71332375
3 albums?
>>71332509
No.
>>71332519
Correct.
Now posting something actually related to the thread. Every album at least a 7, and one 10, the closest I can think of. Of course, I could just post Portishead as well but that'd be too easy.
>>71332558
Cmon... How much you give to ITAOTS? It's unironically my GOAT
obligatory but also correct.
>>71332779
I don't think it's near perfect because [all albums till Help!] and Let It Be. But it's definitely a wonderful discography.
>>71332145
Strangeways Here We Come

*blocks your path*
>>71332558
I like your opinions.
>>71332836
The early stuff actually is pretty good. Lyrics were mostly boring love songs, but musically they were good with some interesting chord progressions. I must agree about Let it Be though, one of the worst in their collection
>>71332080
>muh climate change
Fuck these dudes. Fake ass radicals
>>71332836
Nah, Please Please Me is good, excellent even.
>>71332979
Holy shit, I've never felt such a strong deja vu before, anon, I'm even complying with it since I was supposed to type this after feeling it.
Thanks, still, for the compliment and the reminder that I'm psychic in my dreams.

>>71332836
>>71333017
I always tend to think of Let it Be as their worst but then I look at the tracklist and wonder why because I don't really dislike any of the songs. I'm kind of lukewarm toward Dig a Pony and For You Blue, but the rest kick ass. Maybe it just doesn't cohere well as an album (the white album has the same problem) or isn't up to their usual standard?
>>71332666
That's the 8 I meant (being generous). It's really good, but not excellent or near-perfect, anon. That's just what I think.
>>71333138
Sorry but if TY wants to run his mouth about some bullshit it's fair game to call him out.
Radiohead is more RATM than Fugazi.
Fake.
Modest Mouse without a doubt
>>71333511
They're concerned about the environment and are in a unique position to raise awareness and do what they can to help it
What's fake about that? It's not like Thom has ever made himself out as some genius political mind
Death Grips
The White Stripes
Brand New
Busdriver
>>71333471
Being their worst album doesn't make it bad, especially since they never did put out anything that really could be considered bad
At the Drive in
>>71332613
also this
>>71333572
Climate change is globalist bullshit.
He's literally running his mouth in support of propaganda.
Fake ass corporate controlled band.
>>71333564
didn't like Strangers to Ourselves, but yeah, near perfect.
>>71333591
Brand New only has a perfect discography if you can tolerate YFW and accept it for what it is, which is a pretty huge 'if'
>>71333656
>Climate change is globalist bullshit
Death has a perfect discography. Each album is a masterpiece.
>>71333718
Agreed and I'm not even that into metal.
One can make an argument.
>>71333705
But it's 100% true. 'Global Warming' is Israel/China/Saudi produced propaganda.
In the words of Alan Bishop..." Never trust anyone in the music business. EVER"
>>71333564
The Moon & Antarctica is their last good album. The rest is bad.
>>71332666
Satan confirmed for hipster faggot
>>71334179
You have a very uncommon opinion considering that good news for people who love bad news hit platinum however I will respect your opinion
>>71332080
bretty good
>>71334223
As much as I like Modest Mouse I thought that album was terrible. Have not bothered to listen to anything they put out after
>>71334223
What do sales have to do with how good an album is?
>>71333595
Not heard Meet the Beatles, eh?
>>71332914
this
>>71332914
>>71335323
Agreed, but their fanbase is nothing but wankers.
>>71332375
Eh, that's your opinion. Your opinion is wrong.
>>71333936
do you people even hear yourselves talk
>>71332080
I agree desoo. One Direction and Sigur Ros also. Fleet Foxes discography is pure perfection too.
Mainly because they didn't have a chance to fuck it up but still, even their unreleased stuff was good.
I like Swans
Robert Wyatt. Probably even including his non-solo stuff, though I haven't heard everything.
>>71335517
I definitely agree. New Order's first two/three albums are as good as Unknown Pleasures and Closer. I haven't really listened to their more recent stuff.
>>71335505
Me too, but there are some clear hiccups in their discography.
>>71332080
Muh climate change

>>71332547

Led Zeppelin
You know it's true
>>71332080
Mew
>>71333471
It is 'bad' because the Beatles never wanted to release it and the album is underproduced
CCR if you disregard most of Mardi Gras... like I do.
Real Estate
X Japan is the only right answer
Ariana Grande and the Beatles both have perfect discographies
>>71332080
Death
>>71332080
not radiohead
>>71333564
cocksucking faggot
>>71334398
good news is a pretty decent album. people just hate on it because of float on.
wwdbtses is not bad either. There's a couple great songs and spitting venom is a really enjoyable power ballad. It's not stars are projectors, talking shit about a pretty sunset or teeth like god's shoeshine, but it's still pretty nice.
strangers to ourselves was pretty mediocre. It's not really modest mouse anymore, completely different with Judy gone.
MALICE MIZER
>>71334223

Kanye
Joy Division
LCD Soundsystem

10 albums and nothing below an 8.
>>71335618
>>71335877

Been wanting to get into them.
>>71333936
Kill yourself, my man.
>>71335682
Was going to post this
>>71332866
..is a great album
>>71337856
I'd say Brave Murder Day, Last Fair Deal Gone Down, and Night Is The New Day are my favorites. Most people spring for The Great Cold Distance as it's their most popular but that's actually my least favorite of theirs.
Between his tenure at Genesis and his solo career there are few bad albums (if any at all) of bad material.
xiu xiu maybe not perfect but pretty damn close
>>71336300
yes for Kanye
yes for JD
no
no

>>71335263

Literally only Death Grips
I really like their discography and evolution over time
Pavement, Pixies
>>71333656
ignorance is bliss
>>71341847
But Indie Cindy exists, unfortunately.
>>71342153

Kid Koala
Bugge Wesseltoft

fucking hell you Americans crack me up sometimes
Real Estate
People Under the Stairs
Phoenix (fuck you Bankrupt was good)
Fugazi
>>71332080
Grandaddy. The Sophtware Slump is a 10/10 record and all their other albums are really solid. Even the new album, their first in eleven years is pretty good.
Queens of the Stone Age as well. Their weakest album is their self titled and that one is a 7 out of 10 for me.
LCD Soundsystem too. Three great albums, hopefully they don't fuck up with the fourth one.
Porcupine Tree
Magma
Still releasing quality albums after 40 years, god damn
AMLOR is their only bad album.
Beck. His worst album by far is Morning Phase and I actually enjoy it quite a bit. Beat Happening, The Books, and Nick Drake too
