Impulse buy since of them was so cheap (a violet ram's head clone). The Skreddy pedal is actually really nice for leads but it lacks the bass that makes the Big Muff sound huge and it's also less clear for chords. Keeping them both anyways, it's a decent tool for the studio just for leads.

Yeah it's the HD130 2x10. It's the best amp I've played through imo. 130 watt and 65 watt capability allows me to play p much any size venue. The 10s are super clear and punchy as well. If I dime the gain and put the volume at 1.5, it's too loud to play in the same room w/o ear protection, unlimited clean headroom also. Mine was a bit rough when I got it, replaced all the knobs and grill cloth my self. They've gone up in price recently but I found mine in a pawn shop for $250 which is a killer deal for the condition it was in, original speakers, FS, clean Tolex. Id say the combos are well worth $600-700 if in the right condition

take off the pickguard and see if the neck pickup slot is routed out enough for a humbucker. if it is, then it's an easy install. other you'll probably need to rent some tools and get a template for the exact route you're cutting.

What kind of neck do you like on your guitars?

I like a glossy neck with a decently curvy radius and vintage style frets. I feel like I'm playing on an ice skating rink with those satin or no finish shred-master necks.

Sounds like two octaves of the same thing layered (or harmonized somehow idk) either with an octave pedal or multi tracking. My Digitech whammy pedal's high octave effect gives a similar sound to the Uneven Structures one when played clean, but they probably used software to get it that clean. Good deal of long reverb, certainly done with software.

I was asking yesterday already, I need advice on my first proper guitar. I have got it down to these:


Yamaha Pacifica 311H 350€

apparently very good hardware, interesting pickup combination/very versatile. "no name"/yamaha pickups though and I have no idea how the build quality is.

Ibanez AR325 550€

I really like how it looks, apparently nice pickups, super versatile (my ideal setup, 2 humbuckers with serial/single coil/parallel switches for each), but made in China/I have no clue about the build quality

Fender MIM Tele 590€

It's a Tele, it should be super solid, way better resell value if I ever need to sell it, I could also get the humbucker version with coil split for more versatility (not sure how those are though)

Yamaha Pacifica 611H 680€

Duncan pickups and besides that probably just a nicer version of the 311H. Again, no clue how/where they are built.

Mensinger guitars 800-1300€

I doubt anyone has heard of these but from everything I know and from what people told me they're a custom shop in Poland with very attractive prices. I could get a T-style or an ST-style guitar (or something a bit more fancy) with whatever hardware and wiring I want (basically) and boutique pickups and whatnot handmade there. Obviously more expensive than all the other choices but maybe worth it? I'm not sure.

Back in those customs in the 50s they had really really low fret because les liked them low becuase he was a jazz player man he wasnt a blues player or anything like that so it didn't matter he couldn't bend.

So they call them fretless wonder, but they weren't really fretless. But anyway, no epiphone doesnt have those low frets, they are all medium jumbo, that neck they use on that black beauty is probably the same neck they use on all the customs.

I agree that all the stock samples sound ass, but fiddling with all the knobs (;----DDDD) is the first thing anyone should do with any amp or pedal. I don't get people who cannot into this.
I'm not a hardcore shredder or djenter anyway. Sure in my teenage years I used the "Insane" amp model and scooped the mids and played death metal but now I mostly use the "Twang" one with varying levels of gain to achieve clean and crunchy sounds. It's a nice practice amp for my dorm room, very versatile.
