I was a big deftones fan when I was 15 and their s/t album had just come out. Then I discovered Radiohead and thought I had outgrown deftones and all that nu metal crap.

A few years ago I tried deftones again purely for nostalgia and was surprised to find that they are objectively good. Since then, I've listened to Around the Fur a lot more than any rh album.

I only know their first 4 album, but for me it's: Around the Fur > white pony > s/t > adrenaline

White Pony > Saturday Night Wrist > Around The Fur > s/t > Koi No Yokan >>> Adrenaline >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Diamond Eyes >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Bore

Are there any other bands like deftones that are good?

they reached their peak on s/t Deftones.

later albums each had good songs but i feel like they reach too far out of their comfort zone these days. Deftones are pretty good though. but like many bands, the older they get - the lower they tune - the worse the music gets.
