I've been into the prime Elton albums since high school, it's just great music, and that record has got to be my personal favorite, I even own it on vinyl. Every song is extremely proficiently written and hits right where it's trying to. 10/10

my aunt had the LP and I used to stare at the cover art for hours. sort of a Hieronymous Bosch tribute, I think.
it occurred to me years later that "The Brown Dirt Cowboy" is probably a gay dogwhistle.
