Also, the first couple songs are GOAT-tier, but it really, really loses its way in the middle. The "last dance" song is utter shit, sounds like it was written by a 12 year old and does not fit at all quality wise. It gains traction again towards the end but never gets to the level it was at in the beginning. I don't understand why artists don't just cut that shit out. What's wrong with a 30-40 minute record of GOAT-ness instead of a 60 minute record with lots of shit? It just wastes everyone's time.

Not really, this nations saving grace is more alternative rock than post-punk. The only thing keeping it somewhat post-punk is the very few post-punk songs in it. There aren't that drastic differences
