can we have a /prod/ thread?
what are you guys working on?
I been working on an album's worth of songs for a while now, I'm done, I just need someone to record me cause I suck at recording. How do I go about doing that?
Preparing for a show, deciding the setlist of songs.
We're a crappy cover band so it's easy to do.
I'd like to be able to write more original music but I'm not there yet. Want to do simple 4-8 track recording because all of the digital home recording sounds like shit. I know there's good stuff out there, but I don't have access to it yet.
It bothers me immensely how sterile sounding recording software is, but for whatever goddamn reason my band mates would rather plug directly into the box rather than mic up amp
Not that the drums are any better.

>sterile sounding
You can change this with vintage warmers, saturation, unquantise and groove pool timing
Just finished this up last night, any input on the vocal editing?

id save the synth for when the drums come in and make the intro shorter
and maybe add another instrument to bring up the energy of the song. like a bell melody or hi hats
second part is okay but i like the first because its more melodic and easier to vibe to

it's okay, nothing really crazy tho. sounds like every other trap song
vocals sound really tight, like they're compressed too much, could just be my speakers tho

Probably gonna have to pay someone if you don't have any buds willing to do it for free

yo, straight fire my dude
Trying out Iris 2. A bit disappointed that you can't modulate loop length and such but other than that it seems like a solid, fairly basic sample-based synth.
Anybody know of something similar with more modulation options though?
