Is it just me or are these actually really good? I feel like

theyre pretty good for cheap airbuds but some decent headphones are a huge improvement

They're not that great. 5/10 sound quality

I've used them a ton, as they were the only portable earbuds I had for use away from home for years, but once you try some good ones, you'll realize that the apple ones are muddy as hell. They completely lack clarity.

They tried to make it so they have a lot of bass, and they do, but you can barely hear vocals because some midrange/treble frequencies are totally muted, while the bass is loud, so you have to turn your volume up, and doing so causes some very harsh treble frequencies to spike, which sounds bad and hurts the ears.
