JHE was a kind of branding that, in spite of the hippies, lent itself to the experience of the band. A whole song is explicitly devoted to teasing you about what the band is about "are you experienced?" They had the temerity to /constantly invoke the phrase from the album title/. That's balls, by /mu/ standards.

The Jimi Hendrix Experience is the correct answer to the OP, and upon reading this, all anons will recognize it's true, and register same in this thread. Countless derivative jokes and real band names have been based upon it, always with the premise of describing /a band/, of some kind, as opposed to a diva, an electronic-music guy, a rapper etc.
