it's a good album but the review itself is basically apologetic of its flaws with convoluted logic. at best it's a good power pop album for nerds, but at best rush made good hard rock for nerds.

this album reeks of sophomoric tropes and nirvana worship, it's one of the least punk records to ever make the top 40, and that includes green day, and it's painfully overproduced.

at best it's a 9 out of 10, and even that may be generous

I'd say it's a 10. Create melodies. Some of rivers best lyrics. He really captures high school angst on some tracks without being melodramatic. Its also just so fun. You can sing to the whole album. Really fantastic power pop.
