I'm really struggling to get into it, I've listened to a few of the classic albums I've found them a bit dull, what sort of mentality should I go into a typical metal album with?

don't know where i am from the metal guys where just the weird kids for listening to "noise", but then we got dubstep, edm and all the other shit so nobody cares anymore since nowdays everybody listens to noise anyway
