Why did noone tell me that this is actually pretty good
Revisionist history is just barely giving Soundgarden their props

this shithole never really talks about anything besides /mu/core. So besides Nirvana, Grunge is kind of ignored.

Soundgarden is by far the most interesting band of grunge scene

Grunge is in kind of a weird territory.
It's at that point where most modern-day plebs have long since forgotten about it, and yet it's still acknowledged in mainstream enough to the point where it's too normie for /mu/. So aside from Nirvana and Pearl Jam (which the latter /mu/ more often than not just ridicules anyway) the whole grunge scene is just kinda ignored.
I feel like not a lot of people realize just how genuinely good alternative rock was when it was just breaking into the mainstream back in the late 80s/early 90s. Some really cool stuff emerged during that time period besides just everyone and their mom trying to copy Nirvana.

I've seen Jar of Flies on here a few times. Though that's not really a traditional "grunge" album in some ways.

My favorite Mainstream rock album
Superunknown is fucking awesome. But lettuce not overlook the others here.
Badmotorfinger is rough and edgy like a streetfight
Superunknown is more developed and carefully constructed, but it's still full of venom and energy
Down On The Upside is fucking complex, mature, reflective, and thoughtful.
All totally fucking worth it but they each have a different level of accessibility.

Why didn't they use the music video version of Fell On Black Days as the official? It sounds way better than the album version.

Jar of flies is such a great EP. I don't see Sap get as much love on here yet their often sold as a bundle
