This tbqhfam. I personally like lo-fi hip hop, it's nice to chill out and just vibe to, but ultimately pretty much all of it is pretty homogeneous in sound. It sounds like Madlib Lite.

Do these people realize that lo fi hip hop is basically just hip hop? Wtf is DJ Premier or something? not lo fi enough?

I listen to a shit load of lo-fi hip hop while doing homework. It's good for pretty much that and listening to while high/crossed. It's not intense and you can't actively listen to it, but damn does it set a mood. If you want something different, I'd check out "i jus been eatin pears n shit" and "$$$ $$ $$$$ $" by [ bsd.u ]. The songs I've actively gone and listened to were remixes of songs not sample loops.
