Lyrics are occasionally terrible but the musicianship is excellent. Pretty great album, would be better (like AOTY tier) without shallow millennial references.

Thundercat tries to be funny but comes off as a normie who just discovered internet humor and le memes.

That said he's my favorite artist out now. Album has some gems but it's no Apocalypse.
