>>71235566

>>71235658
I don't believe in someone having the best flow, every good rapper had some sick flows on some of his songs not all of them. If I have to pick though I think 3 stacks and Kendrick are the most consistent
>>71235566
Him or Killer Mike
>>71235693
probably
i really like mr muthafuckin exquire, guy has flows like water sometimes
kool ad too, but he's basically slacker cam'ron
tfw theres no transgender mainstream rappers for me to enjoy and all the mainstream rappers are misogynistic and talk about sexual violence
Hip-hop and rap are nothing more than aggressive and yet monotone lyrics, set to simplistic beats and melodies. They take very little skill or hard work to create and are subsequently enjoyed by those with no appreciation of skill or hard work.
Also, hip-hop and rap tend to be something of a catalyst* for violent acts committed by these unintelligent, uninspired, unskilled and lazy people (mostly men). Ironically, were one to resort to violence in an attempt to remove said-problem (I can think of a few who'd be first to go), this would negate the argument, entirely. So, the rest of us just put up with hip-hop, rap and their followers.
There are so many wondrous things we've learned we can do with our voices, in unison, with other hard-working people who've been practicing until their fingers bleed, and there are STILL those who listen to people talking over a generic melody and beat? Don't you KNOW this?
*The most humorous thing about this post is, an overwhelming majority of those that DO defend hip-hop and rap, would have to head to Google or a dictionary to know what the word, "catalyst" means.
>tl;dr: rap and hip-hop are crap.
>>71235721
In my opinion Biggie's flow is much better than Kendrick's. I have a feeling you are hating Biggie just because of his popularity. He may be overrated but you can't say he is garbage.
Just my opinion.
Bun B bitch.
>>71235634
el-p sounds like a fat old dad
>>71235791
>or a dictionary to know what the word, "catalyst" means
i know this is pasta b8 but rap is naturally the most lyric reliant genre in music
>>71235791
You can say shit like that for any genre in the world
If it's so simple why don't you show us how you do it. Making good rhymes with text that makes sense while staying in the beat isn't that simple. Just try it and show us.
If I like it, I'll listen to it, I don't give a shit how aggressive and violent it is.

I wish his solo records were on the same level as the other Wu members, his voice and flow is so good.

Big L, backed by his amazing punchlines. Shame his career was cut so short, he'd be mentioned far more if he had the chance to release more music.
>>71235847
I agree. And that's one of the reasons why I like him so much.
Nas, I know it's a generic answer but it really is true. Although Rakim is very close.

Honestly he's one of the greatest, him freestyling all his shit from like late 2010 and onward is pretty cool considering a lot of it doesn't sound like freestyling because it's just sounds so natural
Worst part is you'd think with his plethora of music and most of the subject matter he'd be appreciated more on here
Jay-Z on this album. If he were murdered after we'd be calling him the GOAT
>>71243345
Nas did murder him a while after
>>71243703
Too bad Takeover was a much better diss track than Ether was.
For me, it's Inspectah Deck.

>>71244029
Ether is a badly produced song and the lyrics amount to: fuck you faggot. Literally high school tier banter. Jay-Z buried Nas' with Takeover. How's Nas' career been since?
>>71244069
If that's all you got from the track you need to give it another listen, and as far as hiphop goes Nas remained respectable unlike jay-z

Why can't people enjoy rap? I have friends that have go to college for music, know multiple instruments and still enjoy rap songs BUT it's not like they ONLY listen to rap. My best friend loves technical music he started guitar learning CHON on his own and would bring himself up to liking djent, liked only weird or technical music a lot of jazz and techy guitar but still enjoys some rap songs. He'll think 21 savage is garbage no matter what but can't bring himself to hate "Couch" by Earl Sweatshirt
And I don't mean to be like "ugh my friends know music so obviously rap has some talent too it???" but whats wrong with just idk enjoying music it's not like you have to listen to rap or it has to be the only thing you listen too

the way he randomly breaks down when you don't expect it and starts singing instead
no one mentioned the big homie kurupt? baka. go back to school mu
>>71235566

>>71235566
I like how inconsistent Kendrick is on so many songs. It's hard to rap along with him because sometimes he's changing the song and stopping but still flowing really well and melding everything together. That's superior. As for just straight up flow everyone's riding Biggie's DICC cause of Hypnotize lmao
Andre 3000 is really underrated since he hasn't done any solo stuff really, but id rate
