Kanye's making emblematic anthems for a generation. That being said Yeezus and TLOP will in due time be considered his most important records. Don't know where he's headed with T16 but it might be the case for that too.

Regardless, in 50 years time expect at least two post-CD trilogy Kanye albums to edge close on critical rankings of top albums of all time. Ye's already no stranger to those lists; LR made what, 114 on that Rolling Stone list? But seriously, fuck that noise, MDTF, Yeezus, and TLOP are all more artistically gratifying and significant than anything he's made prior.

Which is the thing that makes it so good. It's got the most unique album/song structures he's ever crafted. I can see how it would give some the illusion of being a mess but it really isn't. There's absolutely a theme it sticks to. Also I think even the pop sounding songs are done well and some of them still throw some curveballs ie. sister nancy switch-up on Famous, the weird samples at the end of pt 2 & FML, piano arpeggios on Highlights

coming from a devout DG fan, it's not a NLDW rip-off. If ANYTHING, it's a TMS rip-off based solely off of how the samples were incorporated into the mix.

But it's not a rip-of, it's its own unique thing. Death Grips would never make a song in the vein of New Slaves or I'm In It or Guilt Trip.
