someone tell me what electric to buy and amp for tone..
surf, bluesy, nice sounds.
what is valve and tube....?
Valve and tube? It's just a knob that's on literally every amp. It's not that big a deal. Maybe buy a $5 reverb pedal if you wanna go crazy.
Bump. The more I can learn about sound engineering, the better. Sorry I can't help you, OP

Well for starters it has literally nothing to do with sound engineering. An engineer doesn't add guitar reverb although maybe vocals I guess.
more music talk would be better than just album flavour
You could go a hollow body and I would recommend
>pic related
they are 75% cheaper than a similar named guitar with excellent electrics and build quality
why for surf? Thin bodied semi acoustic electrics have a very sweet sound, even un-plugged
solid bodies cannot compete
always a hollow body with f holes, they are the best
as for amp, yes, tubes are better, a very good solid state is nearly double the cost
not a Marshall, they are bottom of the barrel these days, you're paying for a logo
a slim hollow body, sweet sounds, then once you're good enough to gig a tube , maybe $400, or less, mic'd into the pa, if... your venue comprehends noise
oh, take off the scratch plate, it dulls the sound
