What daw should I learn production skills on? So many things it's pretty overwhelming.

you dont need to be a master, just be in the "know" of things you think's good and will use for your music in the future and apply it in your production when the time comes hope this helps
ableton and/or logic will get you anywhere
disregard kiddy trap software
I would say Reaper because you make make it look and behave like Protools which is the industry standard but impossible to get for free.

I think im going to get reaper. 60 dollars isn't bad. Im not sure what "commercial license" for 225 means though

Ableton. It doesn't have unneccesary cluttery pop-out windows like in your pic.
Don't try to master everything on first, fiddle around an bit and you will be good

Damn why are you paying for this.
"commercial licence" allows to sell your music without any limits on profits, the other one has limits like 200$ or sth. Also why are you going to buy reaper, it's basically free to download. Dl first before buying. Also check Ableton demo too, it has no limits but you can't save.
ableton is and will always be more than enough to take you where you want to go

Fl studio, people say it's shit/beginner but if you know what you're doing then you'll be good
Protools for recording/mixing
Logic and Ableton for song writing and live performance
If you ever plan to run the computer/work at a studio you will have to know Protools. You almost never see anything else. Protools also has better tools for editing wave forms. It's a fucking nightmare doing editing on anything else tho it can be done
Premiere Pro

2nding this
fl studio is better for sequencing, ableton is better for arranging and sound design

"No"
You should start with Ableton and then get Logic if you can afford it and have a mac. Ableton does everything very well but Logic makes MIDI recording really intuitive and fun
Other than those you don't need anything but plugins and maybe Audacity
