Should I learn trombone?
Trumpet player here.
If you're serious about music, especially brass, I reccomend baritone or trumpet. Once you know one you sorta know the rest. Bone is different. If you really want to do it, go for it, but there are other option. Good luck, have fun.
i played bone in highschool dont learn it until you get more experience playing brass
unless youre a huge faggot go learn the piano
tbone has best brass timbre
hornfags fuck off
Depends on how deep rooted are your homoerotic desires that you're trying to suppress by sticking phallic objects in your mouth for hours almost every day.
Piano is objectively the best instrument to learn
Prove me wrong

instruments aren't people dude
what are you trying to say?
Studied trombone at uni
Trombone is one of the only wind instruments that is capable of playing perfectly in tune 100% of the time.
Fuck valves seriosuly, what a joke
If you play orchestral trombone you get to play super loud 80% of the time, and probably have some of the nicest brass chorales in the entire repertoire.
Also have fun counting.
Trombonist here
Play it it's a good time
People telling you to learn other brass instruments first are memeing you

Another trumpet player reporting in. I agree with this dude, Trumpet probably makes appearances in more genres than any other brass instrument, even if those appearances are uncommon, so if you want access to a really diverse catalog of music, Trumpet's your best bet.
OP, if you really want a challenge, give French Horn a shot. I've been playing trumpet for 8 years and horn for 3. Horn is waaaay harder in every aspect. Trumpet is easy to learn, hard to master. Horn is just hard, period. However, horn is really rewarding to play. It has a massive sound, and the range is ridiculous.
