This guys is criminally underrated imo, doing very interesting things, has already made 3 fantastic and different albums.

Just tried to listen to it, whats the appeal of music like this?
It sounds like generic top 40 shit but through a slightly indie lens

He's incredibly sincere, doesn't have that detached hipster edgy feeling that a lot of artists seem to have these days. He integrates a lot of different sounds and melodies into the songs, nicely layered instrumentals. And the lyrics are very unconventional, like stream of consciousness almost. I like him.

I'm listening to it right now, so my opinions hasn't solidified yet. I like "What's That Perfume That You Wear?"

What world do you live in where top 40 pop is this good?

A few half-decent tracks, ultimately forgettable however.

isn't everything 'ultimately forgettable' though?

wedding in finistere is good

I'd definitely consider that a highlight. What prevents you from enjoying To Know Your Mission, Evening Prayer, Hotwire the Ferris Wheel, and What's That Perfume You Wear? though, because those are all pretty obvious highlights in my eyes. Don't see how someone couldn't get inot them.
