They're my favorite band. Been loving them for over a decade now. Lincoln > Flood = Apollo > John Henry = TMBG

Factory Showroom was pretty good too but couldn't really get into The Else and Join Us. Nanobots had a few great tracks like You're On Fire and Tesla.

They were my favorite band in early high school. I loved all of their albums. They're a very good/consistent band and Linnel is one of my favorite singers.

Linnell is an absolute genius. Honestly I determine how good a TMBG album is based on how good the Flansburgh songs are because I know Linnell is going to have like one song that isn't really good and the rest are straight bangers. Flansburgh is less consistent but I think his songs tend to be funner which keeps the album from being "John Linnell Sings About Getting Old and Hating Yourself In Weird Metaphors" and generally keeping the whole thing catchy. He's also probably one of my favorite personalities in music.

I saw them last April. They stopped the concert to go see if Bernie Sanders won North Dakota or some shit, and then came back and played another hour long set. Weird shit.

Haven't listened to Glean and Phone Power enough yet to really decide where they go but I've been pretty hot on Phone Power so far.

I know it's crazy but there are a few, you probably just forgot about them because they are mediocre. Stuff like Let Your Hair Hang Down and You Don't Like Me. Of course compared to Flansburgh's worst material like You'll Miss Me, there's nothing where you'll immediately think, oh this is pretty bad compared to the rest of the album.

Flansberg's songs were in general weak as hell on Lincoln.
I could never really get into Lincoln like everyone else did.
