U2 is intensely hated on the board for some silly reason, despite releasing a rock solid discography throughout the 80's and early 90's.

I get the "Bono is cunt" thing, but he's hardly the biggest asshole in music.

He's not really an asshole at all, and even though I get that his philanthropy is just a populist thing it doesn't change the fact that he does it, those cheques still get paid and in the end whatever his motives are is irrelevant to the end result
