How many of you actually enjoy this album?
I liked the first time I listened some years ago
I didn't love it tho
But now I can't remember much
So yeah, no strong opinions from me

Quite a few of us.
me, i love dissonance so this is great for my ears, is the perfect bridge between free jazz and rock
It's good but it depends if I'm in the mood for something zany and energetic and vaguely psychedelic. But if I am, I play this front to back.

this album has been officially retired from discussion
I for one do. Safe as milk aswell.
But if it was not for my past obsession with Frank Zappa i would never have taken the time to listen through (and learn to like) those albums.

shiny beast is also a very good beefheart

Well, the two arent really comparable now that i think of it. Safe as milk is a much easyer listen.
I used to pretend to like it, to hang out with the """"cool"""" kids.
But now am willing to admit that it is among the worst music ever created by man.

Aww...poor child admitted to failing Pleb Filter: Intermediate
I like it

this is what I was wondering.
i'm not gonna be a cynical faggot and say EVERYONE pretends to like it just to be cool, i'm sure it has some redeeming factors, but christ do i not understand it
yeah it's really challenging stuff, maybe that's why i like it
>>71147743
I kinda like it but I honestly don't understand how lots of people like it either
I guess it's like a horror movie
it makes you feel bad but ok you like some parts but some people LOVE IT??
matt groening likes it tho he can't be wrong
I feel like people kinda exaggerate how dissonant/crazy it is
Like maybe it's because I was used to more "experimental" music, but it didn't strike me as that weird when I first heard it. The riffs are super catchy
