What do you play music files on your PC with?
I've been using foobar but I'm sick of how it messes up sorting my music, thinking of switching

how does it mess up sorting?
>>

I was too much of a brainlet to figure out how to work foobar so I just use JoeApollo on my phone.
Of course I only ever download music I like, so whenever I listen to a new album I usually just stream it from YouTube.

Clementine is p. good
>>

Bee Music is decent

Foobar is pretty great especially if you like tagging your music properly

Not sure how it messes up sorting, may be the way you have it formatted or something
>>

As long as you don't over customize it, because it becomes a clumsy mess. Also, don't know if it was because my computer was garbage, but the player took about 3-5 seconds after clicking a song for playing,

Yeah sometimes it just sorts tracks in an album alphabetically by track name. I knw how to fix it but its annoying. Also is there a way to just have a library? I put my Music folder in a playlist but sometimes I lose the playlist. Besides these, I like the layout of foobar and operating it

Thanks for recs, I'll play around with each and see if I should switch
>>
>>71145437
How do you have the albums grouped like that in that music tab? It only does that in the music explorer some reason for me.

Click "Albums", right below Now Playing
You should get a drop down menu with customization options.

Go to Preference then look for Media Library. Add your music folder path then save. Do a library search (check toolbar), type All then click the ellipsis and choose Create Autoplaylist. Whenever you add a new album in your folder path it will automatically add that album in the playlist.

Any musicbee anons, know to fucking sort compilation albums?
It's making my library a mess of single artist with the same covers
>>
>>71145130
foobar2000 is the best there is tbqh famalam. It can do basically anything you can imagine. So many things a regular media player just can't do. I'm not sure if my setup is good or not, but it's for sure autistic and I know we all love autism here.

What about winamp?

Foobar on windows
Audacious on linux
>>
Or you can use foobar on linux if you aren't a complete twit. You're already going through the trouble of using linux anyway. Isn't that much more work
>>
>>71148787
why would i though?
>>
>>71147885
what wm are you using? and are you really using wine or some shit to run foobar?
>>
>>71145551
album list UI?
>>
>>71148880
That's i3gaps with i3blocks. And yep. It's super hassle free too, unlike a lot of things run in wine
>>
>>71148957
I had no idea you could customize foobar so heavily. Looks nice. I might just switch to foobar on linux aswell.

Thanks. I am now contemplating switching fully from a DE (been using xfce for years) to just a WM. Looks so fucking slick.
