I know nothing about classical music and how it works. what are the most comprehensive and essential recording for erik satie?
i am drawn to it bc of the muted piano sounds(which i dont understand how to roll the tone knob back on an actual piano) and the sense of rhythm it has... these are both things i can appreciate as a person with advanced tinnitus,

1. Google Erik Satie
2. View profile next to search
3. Scroll down and click section that says "Compositions"
4. ???
5. Profit
Seriously though compared to most other composers, Satie isn't that hard to get into. If you like him I recommend checking out Ravel and Chopin too
Just get the complete works of Erik Satie by Bojan Gorisek. It has something like 10 volumes, but it actually functions as a great entry point for his work as his more popular and accessible compositions are on the earlier volumes.
Also, and maybe more importantly, Gorisek actually understands Satie and plays him brilliantly and tastefully.
if you have spotify, it's all there mang.
