I was listening to Kid A one miserable day and read an interpretation for How to Disappear Completely while it was playing which said it was about out of body experiences and pretending you're somewhere else to deal with something traumatic that might be happening right now. It used the example of a child being abused who might shut down and pretend they're elsewhere in order to pass the moment. I have siblings who were sexually abused and when it got to the climax I thought of them and just fucking lost it.
I was also stoned at the time so take that as you will.

I was watching the film filth a few years back and i thought the film was mediocre until i reached the end. the main character was an outcast and was neglected due to which he had decided to commit suicide. as soon as he decides to do so, creep by radiohead hits. I could relate to that song so well, it hit like a ton of bricks.

I guess it's because I really want to feel some sort of intensity again. Where the main character in the film tries to achieve perfection, I just try to do well in order to fit dreams that I didn't really set for myself. My life is just boring. The film made me actually feel something again.
