Don't fucking listen to Carrie and Lowell on acid that sounds depressing and shitty. Also the album is fucking boring. On the other hand, The Royal Scam will make you feel like a god within the first minute. Every solo on this album would be life changing to hear on acid.

You need to listen to Sufjan then on acid because you obviously haven't. The experience changed my whole view on the album. That's more of what I'm trying get across, trust me. And don't dismiss things that you haven't experienced
