ITT: Soundtracks you think are underrated
The Minecraft soundtrack is highly regarded by anybody who gives a shit about vidya OSTs you goon
>>71079188
Really? Whenever I say I like it, people assume im some underage kid who watches too much youtube
Minecraft's ost is pretty good
i ask in every thread and ill continue until i get a good answer
does anyone know of albums that are similar to the minecraft ost? the ambiance is beautiful
>>71079155
>>71080428
holy fuck now I wanna know too
>>71080827
Bump for this
>>71079155
I dont think anyone that played the game doesnt like the soundtrack, its not underrated. Nuclear Throne is underrated however
>>71079155
I mean to be fair it's an underrated game too
>>71080428
>>71080827
Just get a DAW, load up a default piano sampler, throw on a reverb with 80% d/w and ~5-8 sec. decay and just mess around with basic triads and m7's aimlessly. Wow, you now have endless original minecraft music to listen to
>>71081136
i dont like it

HAHA wow xd your so smart you have crakced the code!!!
Beautiful soundtrack. What many don't realize is that a lot of the soundtrack was done on a moog. C418 made music prior to Minecraft that was very synthy. Only really the most well known minecraft songs have just piano, but all of them have a moog ambience either in the background or as the lead.
>>71081796
>What many don't realize is that a lot of the soundtrack was done on a moog.
HAHA wow xd your so smart you have crakced the code!!!
Except that he uses the word in multiple tracks and is just using a bad softsynth playing the same boring chords in the background you mung
>>71081897
I used to watch his streams, he has Voyager XL you pleb. Nice try at trying to seem like you know what you're talking about though xx
>>71081944
>owns an massively overpriced synth
>is so shitty at mixing it that it sounds like a softsynth
Legitimately sad, even Arturia default patches sound better.
also
>defends a hack that made derivative IDM garabe that nobody listened to until the meme game for autistic children became popular
>calls people plebs
>>71082066
>still trying to act like you know what you're talking about on an anonymous anime image board
Arturia is garbage, it isn't even a proper emulation. It's better than nothing, but it doesn't come close to it.
And also
>is so shitty at mixing it that it sounds like a softsynth
Do you not know how he made it sound like that? You said it yourself earlier. " throw on a reverb with 80% d/w and ~5-8 sec. decay" retard.

>>71082119
steinberg retrologue 2 can get close to moog minitaur sound but the hardware still sounds better imo
>>71082119
Did you even read my post? My point is that Arturia is garbage, but he somehow made the real thing sound more garbage than that.
>You said it yourself earlier
>thinking I'm referring to use of effects and not the awful EQing and volume mixing
It's almost like you have no idea what you're talking about. Let me know when you get more than 5 downloads a month on your bandcamp IDM project though xx

I've heard that Minecraft's OST was loosely based on the Erik Satie Gymnopédies. They're not exactly the same, but I definitely get similar feels when I listen to Satie.

I like Sting and Andy Summers, but Copeland was the true genius in the Police. Easily the most talented member.
>>71082926
these games helped get me into punk as a kid, great nostalgia because they were often like pop punk covers of old punk songs

One of the best game soundtracks ever IMO. All of the tracks fit so perfectly with the atmosphere of its respective level.
