It's one of the very few genres I dismiss entirely.

shit UNTIL you go to the carribean or somewhere tropical. then it just makes sense

coming from a cuban family, it was everywhere growing up and i always hated it, even if it is pretty dance able and fun at some parties

Grew up with reggaeton, it gets me nostalgic now. Living in the west coast it was also a god send over chicano rap.

Reggaeton seemed new and exciting in 2004 and it was funner party music. Chicano rap always seemed corny compared to reggaeton at least to me, plus hearing the same derivative g-funk worship from chicano rap was boring.
