Why does /mu/ hate this again?

I was here when they loved it.

I loved the first track because it had a really nice twinkly riff, but the album bores me

I think authenticity doesn't carry the currency around here that it once did. Listening to post-PG Genesis, for instance, used to be a major offense.

It's not a particularly memorable album in an over-saturated genre (mathy emo).

Also supposedly the band were dicks to their fans/other bands, they got turned on pretty quick when that started getting circulated

shitty album people are just drawn to it because they find the album art interesting
